The domain name IPO.com just closed it’s offering for a cool $500,000, in a transaction handled by Sedo.com, according to the latest sales update on DN Journal. This now makes 10 domains that have been reportedly sold for $500,000 or more this year, proving there is still energy and money for good domain names. IPO.com has obvious commercial value, and it will be interesting to see if it turns out to be good buy.
In addition, 18 domains pulled-in $20,000 or more this week. Among them, AirTickets.com flew away for $80,000, Mesothelioma.co was treated to $76,000 and ResumeWriting.com wrote-up a $66,000 deal this week.
Also notable, are brandable domain name sales last week that fetched big money without being keyword-driven. This week VSAT.com sold for $61,600, Taobao.co fetched $31,500, WeWork.com earned $20,000, while Cocomama.com cracked a cool £12,000 ($18,960)
There are still just 5 domains to make the $1,000,000+ club, but the last sale was made on June 16, Dating.com for $1,750,000. So far, 65 domain names have been reported to have sold for $100,000 or more this year. For more details on the latest domain sales, visit DNJournal.
