Naming Question by Faith4jesus: Would this company name turn you away?
I create custom DVD’s for people and came up with the name “Faithful Productions”.
It was something I used when making DVD’s for family members and I’ve always used the name Faith as a nickname.
Someone suggested though that people may turn away from it because it sounds more like a religious name. Even though I am not selling or marketing Christian ONLY items.
What I make is Custom DVD shows for people so I wouldn’t think that name would turn them away.
It’s to late to change the name too since my dear husband surprised me with a domain name with the company name. lol
So would that turn you away in picking someone to work with your photos?
Also my logo itself has NOTHING what so ever Christian based:

Wouldnt bother me a bit!!
Editor’s Note:
There is no right or wrong in this until you consider the market that you are trying to reach. It is likely that a portion of your market will see this as a Christian-centric business. They may not take the time to learn more about you, or to find out why you are using your name. It’s also confusing that your domain name is tied to your logo in some way.
The best approach is to use another name that will appeal to your wider audience. You can also use more than one domain to promote your business. That is a strategic decision could reach diverse markets but also dilute your marketing efforts. Good Luck!

It would not bother me. However, I think you should be excited about the business name you have chosen. I would think people would be happy to know that you are faithful. I think the qualities we use to define ourselves will cause others to view us in that same way. If you are faithful in all you do I can see that it would only benefit you and not give a negative impression.
If more people were faithful in their everyday dealings with others wouldn’t the world be a better place?
So I say go for it. Allow the name to work for you.
Stay “Faithful Productions”
